Privacy Policy

AI Resume Pro ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Zhang, an independent developer based remotely. You can reach us at william@codebyzhang.com. Our website is https://airesume.pro.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account data — your name and email address when you sign up (via email, Google, or GitHub OAuth).
• Usage data — which tools you use and how many credits you have consumed, stored to manage your account balance.
• Payment data — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe may store billing address and payment method details under their own privacy policy.
• Tool inputs — text you enter into our AI tools (e.g., resume content, job descriptions). This is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response and is not stored permanently on our servers.
• Analytics — page views and basic usage events collected via Google Analytics (anonymised). No personally identifiable information is passed to Google Analytics.

• To create and manage your account.
• To track and deduct credits when you use a tool.
• To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe.
• To send transactional emails (e.g., password reset, receipt). We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
• To improve the service by understanding which tools are used most.

We use the following third-party providers who may process your data:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — processes tool input text to generate AI responses. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — handles all payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Google OAuth / GitHub OAuth — optional sign-in methods. We only receive your name and email from these providers.
• Google Analytics — anonymised page analytics. You can opt out via your browser settings or a GA opt-out extension.
• Railway — cloud hosting provider where our servers run. Data is stored in their infrastructure.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance (e.g., Stripe transaction records).

Tool input text is not stored after a response is generated.

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in (session cookies via NextAuth.js). We also use Google Analytics cookies for anonymous usage tracking. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format).

We use industry-standard security practices: HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords (never stored in plain text), and OAuth for social login so we never handle your social platform passwords. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers.

No system is 100% secure. If you discover a security issue, please report it responsibly to william@codebyzhang.com.

AI Resume Pro is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
